Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has notified the Junior Engineer official notification on 30 September 2016, for the recruitment of the applicants to the post of Junior Engineer in various government departments. SSC JE paper-1 exam will be held on 3 December 2016 to 5 December 2016. SSC Junior Engineer (JE) Syllabus 2016 (New) (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical) with Exam Pattern – Departments conduct the written exam of subjective and conventional type every year for Junior Engineer posts. Lots of applicants usually appear for this test but only a few are able to qualify it. The selection for JE posts is done on the basis of marks in written exam and interview. Educational Qualification:

  • Junior Engineer (Civil), CPWD – B.E. / B.Tech. / Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/Institute.
  • Junior Engineer (Electrical), CPWD – B.E. / B.Tech. / Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognised University/Institute.
  • Junior Engineer (Civil), Department of Posts – B.E. / B.Tech. / 3 years Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/Institute.
  • Junior Engineer (Electrical), Department of Posts – B.E. / B.Tech. / 3 years Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University/Institute.
  • Junior Engineer (Civil), MES – B.E. / B.Tech. in Civil Engineering OR 3 years Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/Institute and with 2 years work experience in civil engineering works.
  • Junior Engineer (Electrical & Mechanical), MES – B.E. / B.Tech. in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering OR 3 years Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University/Institute and with 2 years work experience in electrical/mechanical engineering works.

Age Limit:

  • Junior Engineer (Civil, Electrical & Mechanical), Central Water Commission and CPWD – Not exceeding 32 years.
  • Junior Engineer (Civil & Electrical), Department of Post and Junior Engineer (Surveying and Contract), MES – 18 to 27 years.
  • Junior Engineer (Civil, Electrical & Mechanical), MES – Not exceeding 30 years.
  • There is age relaxation in the upper age limit for reserved categories as per Government rules.

Application Fees:

Candidates must pay the application fee of Rs. 100 which can be paid through online or offline mode. Female, SC, ST, PH and Ex-Servicemen candidates are exempted from the application fee.

  • Online Mode: Through SBI net banking/debit card/credit cards.
  • Offline Mode: Through SBI e-challan which has to be deposit at any branch of SBI.

Selection Procedure

  • 1st Step: Written Examination (Paper 1) (Objective Type) (200 marks) (Online Mode)
  • 2nd Step: Written Examination (Paper 2) (Conventional Type) (300 marks) (Offline Mode)

Note: There is no interview.
